i am not a big fan of the washington post op-ed page. it is very inside-the-beltway, which i guess you'd expect, but it's also very grim, overall. krauthammer is one of the few columnists anywhere that actually disgusts me and i hate david ignatius, though i am closet fan of george will. the page is by and large colorless and humorless, and rarely features anything eccentric or in the least surprising. but i must say that recent columns by richard cohen and e.j. dionne were outstanding: self-conscious, self-deprecating, unusual.
