crime is a pretty basic deal, and most criminals travel in the well-worn paths of their illustrious predecessors, whether they be embezzlers or serial killers. but what's going down in honolulu seems fundamentally innovative. a guy described as "portugese-hawaiian" has apparently launched an entire career based on hitting strolling police officers with a stolen cars. he grabs a car, looks for a uniform, and from then on it's pure thump. the suspect has been charged with reckless driving in the past, but this seems an unjustified quibble: just as gun control is "hitting what you aim at," this guy's wrecks are very reck indeed.
