so a high school valedictorian from virginia has been charged with conspiring to kill george bush . he has already undergone rendition, torture, etc. one thing should be clear from the way we are conducting our legal system: no one will ever be in a good position reasonably to evaluate his guilt. the trail is so polluted with the possibility of false confessions, false accusations, unavailable witnesses etc, that the justice department has made truth impossible for itself and for the rest of us.
