i'm a big fan  of circuses. took my 4-year-old to the cole bros in hanover the other day. this is my favorite circus: very classic feel, under the big top. but there was a huge difference since i saw it 5 years ago: no elephants, no lions or togers, not even horses. the only animal act was (get this) house cats. so i'm assuming that the peta types just succeeded in making the rest impossible somehow. of course the tiger and elephant are the very symbols of the circus.
