apropos of my amazing selection of house at pooh corner as the most harmful book of the 20th century, my best-friend-from-junior-high-school william o'brien points out that the loggins and messina song of that title is truly a horror. truly. so i've been thinking: what are the worst ten songs of all time? requirements: they have to have been hits. they have to really really suck. "house at pooh corner" is a plausible initial #1. today as i was getting my teeth drilled they were playing r.e.o. speedwagon doing "can't fight this feeling": it was perfect storm of pain. anyway i'm listening to - or at least for - candidates.
