what i love about the idea, now evidently an obsession, that elections come down to a single word, is that it is an artifact of the means that are used to detect it. it's because "change" is easy to poll that polls poll it. it's because they poll it that "the media" gets this portrait of the electorate as wanting "change" or associating it with the candidacy of duncan hunter. then they report it, after which we do more polling, etc:  there is no surcease!
