the republicans are surely right that americans don't want bureaucrats making decisions about their health care. and of course, they don't want bureaucrats deciding whom they can marry, what wars their tax dollars will fund, whether they can be placed under surveillance, what they can put into their bodies, etc., and i applaud the republicans for their consistency on such matters.

oh well, let's just admit it: americans want to be told what to do all day every day on every single possible matter, by absolutely anyone.
