one amazing thing is that left commentators use phrases like "libertarian fringe" and "fascists" as though they were synonymous. i.e. freedom is a fascist plot. i suppose that, having in their own ideology identified liberation and submission (which is trad: see schelling or hegel), they have decided that they are the same wherever they may be found: an admirable consistency. but at any rate, i put it to you that if you are a principled opponent of state power you are not a fascist.
