well, that's a relief. at least we can give up now and try to die with dignity.
anyway, a few bald assertions: (1) nature, the earth's atmosphere, etc do not seek balance or equilibrium. they seek nothing at all, and they are volatile. (2) human beings are animals - entirely, 100% natural creatures - and like, say, plants, they can have entirely transformative effects on the climate and that would still be a completely natural event. what else? a supernatural event? (3) running around in circles screaming, or pacing dourly up and down the street with "the end is nigh" sandwich boards and a strange gleam in your eye just isn't working out strategically.
