anarchists vs. tea partiers! kick-ass, y'all. only i'm not really clear on who the anarchists are.
"If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there
is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future,"
the posting implores. "If the tea party movement takes over this
country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social
programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits,
student aid, free health care, etc."
gotta admit, i remember when anarchists were less enthusiastic about state power than, say, socialists or members of the democratic party. now that appears to have reversed. you see this in greece, e.g., too: welfare-state anarchists! a new development in political taxonomy.
see the problem is that they identify themselves as being on the left. but there is nothing in leftism except statism. now their opposites (anarchists/libertarians) identify themselves as being on the right. but that aligns them with capitalism. it is very hard to be anarchist today. anyway. but people who are all about food stamps, disability benefits etc just should find another term: like johnkerryists or something.
