just listening, on cnn, to the 'special envoy' from bahrain, where there has been a brutal and fatal response to the protests. extremely disturbing. he was claiming that the response was proportional and within the rule of law, etc. he claimed the protesters were armed and violent. putting it mildly, the available information does not support these claims. i'd say mubarak's response was honest and circumspect by comparison, and this response suggests that the brutality will continue or increase.
