it surprises the nyt, but it doesn't surprise me, that marxist publishing is in revival. for one thing, there's really nowhere else to go: the last time anyone in the world left had an idea was 1848. i mean go read hardt and negri or zizek and realize it's exactly the same thing, only with a slightly different jargon-cloud. really the idea is just to keep pouring out words until the totalitarianism is slightly obscured. or, you know, you can just buy a hyper-dilute solution from the dems or whatever. if marxism is revived in areas other than publishing, we'lll be shooting back.
