I first read the Times piece in a hurry and got the impression that Al Qaeda had taken over Anbar province in Iraq...silly, AXE, nothing is ever taken in the Arab world because that would imply a stage of some sort on the road to somewher, even if nowhere...at least Sysiphys was able to move the damn rock up the hill before it rolled down.
