you can expect hillary's choice for veep to be made on exactly one criterion: who is safest. so, i wouldn't think we're going to see a hispanic person (perez or castro, say) or a black person (booker): the dems already have those groups sewed up, especially this year, and the argument about 'energizing the base' - though it might have some legitimacy in some cases - doesn't apply this year: if trump doesn't energize those folks, nothing will. a woman - warren - has some attractions: if you could drive the gender gap to 25 or 30% you could certainly win, if that didn't come by losing half the country's men. but the slight risk as they would understand it will keep it from happening. so look for the white guy: tim kaine or (i think very likely) sherrod brown. personally i would endorse selina meyer.
