Crispin's recent article on The Philosophy of Gerontology for Middle-Aged Men was not exactly an eye opener...it was something that makes you, as you approach true senior citizen status want to soak your head in bleach so as never to see or smell your own age again, or anyone else's. That said, it's great that he's already worried -- being past the 65 year benchmark already, all I can say is it doesn't get better.
I have staked out base jumping and bear hunting Kodiak Bears with .50 cal Israeli Desert Eagles for my response to diagnoses of Alzheimer's and/or Cancer. Or, ideally, base jumping onto Kodiak Island and then doing the hunting. It will either kill me kind of quickly or I'll be stuck trying to skin and dress and 1200 lb, 10 foot tall bear and packing it out of the wilderness...
